Choosing the right dumpster saves time and money. Dumpster Sizes Explained helps you pick the right roll-off container in Palm Beach County based on debris type, volume, and weight.
The right size prevents overfilling, avoids extra fees, and keeps your project on track.
This guide covers the most common roll-off dumpster sizes so you can choose the right container the first time.
Roll-off dumpsters are measured in cubic yards.
That number tells you how much debris the container holds.
In this Dumpster Sizes Explained guide, we cover the most common sizes:
10 Yard
15 Yard
20 Yard
30 Yard
Each size is suited for different project types and debris volumes.

Ask these questions:
What materials are going in the dumpster?
Are they bulky or heavy?
How much debris will you generate?
Where will the dumpster be placed?
Do you have room to go one size bigger?
When in doubt, choose the next size up. It often costs less than a second pickup.
Each size includes a weight allowance.
Exceeding it can trigger overage fees.
Heavy debris reaches weight limits fast, including:
Concrete
Dirt
Tile
Roofing shingles
Brick and block
Call before delivery if you’re disposing of heavy material. We’ll recommend the safest, most cost-effective size.
Focus on driveway space
Usually fit in 10–20 yard sizes
Best for cleanouts and remodels
Need bigger capacity and faster turnaround
Often use 20–30 yard dumpsters
May require swap-outs for active sites

I have had the best experience with Gatherd dumpsters, I called them yesterday looking for a dumpster. They did not answer and within 30 second they returned my call. Alex called me back and he was so helpful and they have saved the day for me within two hours, I had a dumpster in the front of the house that I was working on it great communication and grey Customer Service. I would definitely do business again with him. The driver was very professional. he made sure to put guards for the Dumpster who would not ruin the Paver.Posted on Google![]()

I would not recommend this company to anyone. Oswaldo has sent me 15 different invoices instead of 1 itemized one like I have asked for continuously. I only rented 3 dumpsters and the multiple invoices are extremely confusing when there should only be 3. He keeps blaming it on his system and refuses to send me what I am asking for. Instead, he is threatening to put a mechanical lien on my property until I pay.Posted on Google![]()
